How to measure your ring size at home
Whether you’re simply wondering what your own ring size is, or you’re searching for your partner’s ring size to plan the perfect surprise proposal, there are a few top tips you can conduct at home:
Measure the inside of another ring that fits – by using a tape measure, you could measure another ring which you know fits well. That way, you can take the measurement to the jewellers and they can advise you what size it is.
Measure multiple times – measuring about 3 or 4 times at different points in the day will provide the most accuracy – as your finger is at it’s largest at the end of the day, and when you are in a warm environment.
In between sizes? – if the ring falls between two sizes, it’s always advised to order the larger size up.

The average ring size for women in the UK is between size L and size N – with the most common ring size for engagement rings being size L.
Average ring size for men
S or T are typically the most popular ring size for men in the UK. The most commonly purchased men’s rings range between size P and U.
