Top 6 jewellery pieces to take on holiday

Drop Earrings

A pair of drop earrings can instantly make you look more put together. We like these round cut long dangling halo diamond earrings – perfect for an evening out, pair with a simple maxi dress to elevate your look from day to night.

Diamond Studs

The all-round classic that can see you through any event, a pair of diamond studs are a great everyday essential for a holiday. Easy to dress up or down, they work for any occasion and outfit. Try opting for larger or different shaped studs in the evening or a different metal, like these rose gold princess cut diamond stud earrings.

Dainty Chains

The layering trend works just as well on holiday. Mixing up your neckline with an array of dainty chains instantly screams boho chic. Try a variation of lengths and styles of chains such as rope, Cuban link and figaro chains. Adding a pendant in between chains also works well to mix up your outfit.

Statement Necklace

statement necklace is a key holiday jewellery essential. Take advantage of the sun by opting for bold coloured stones or beads. Try a statement necklace with a simple white outfit to add a pop of colour to your look.

Simple Bangle

Just like diamond studs, a tennis bangle or bracelet is a classic that can really elevate your look. Wear alone or pair with a watch to create your own arm stack. We like this channel set designer diamond bangle which can be worn for an evening look or a daytime stroll along the beach.

Stackable Rings

If maximalism is your thing, a ring stack on holiday is a great way of accessorising your many outfits. From gemstones to diamonds, an eclectic mix of metals and stones can add an element of boho chic to your look.

Holiday jewellery top tips

Pack your jewellery carefully

Just like you would pack your clothes, consider packing your jewellery carefully so that they stay in pristine condition. A travel jewellery box or roll can help separate your items which comes in handy if you plan on packing necklaces that are prone to tangling. For your diamonds and precious gems, we recommend separating them in their own compartments to avoid scratching.

Don’t take your favourite jewellery on holiday

If you can help it, try to avoid packing your most favourable or expensive jewellery to avoid disappointment if your luggage is lost or stolen. A holiday is meant to be care and stress-free, so try not to pack any pieces you can’t bare to part with as losing an item on holiday is something we have all experienced.

Avoid wearing your jewellery in water

Some pieces of jewellery may be waterproof, though we still recommend removing your jewellery in water. Particularly chlorinated water as it can cause your jewellery to lose its sparkle and lustre.

Be careful of chemicals

There are many chemicals in makeup and skincare that can damage your jewellery. In particular sunscreen, body oils and perfumes can dull your jewellery or cause metals to tarnish. We recommend you put on your jewellery last and make it the first thing you take off before bed.

Remember to clean your jewellery

Whilst this may not be the first thing you think of whilst on holiday, giving your jewellery a clean after you have worn it can help maintain it’s sparkle. We recommend to pack some cleaning wipes or solution with you that is specifically formulated for jewellery.

Insure your jewellery

If the jewellery you pack or travel with is valuable, we recommend insuring your jewellery in case it is lost or stolen whilst on holiday. This is mostly important for bridal jewellery if it is a destination wedding or anyone who travels with their wedding or engagement rings.
